ACI-056: Composing a Fleet
Thesis
A fleet's roles start as lanes of the work and are named later. Write each lane as the human's dated ruling, in the form of a test any node can apply to any file, with the files the test cannot settle named and every crossing announced. Treat each new node as an audit of every place the protocol counts the fleet, and spend its handover on the estate's scars.
Story
An estate is one project's repository and the nodes that work in it, and I run several. Lamplight's is the one where the lanes came first. Its whiteboard began on 18 May 2026 with files named for streams of work, control.md and ia-ux.md, and none for a role (Lamplight@fce7c0b7d, 2026-05-18). Ten days later the streams got handles: Control Claude, Interface Claude, and a Verifier Claude "promoted from the scribe role". They are in the README the commit changed, under a subject about upgrading Intent, and the filenames and stream ids stayed as they were, so routing was undisturbed (Lamplight@635ca9cb1, 2026-05-28). I had a handle in that table too, and became a node with my own inboxes 28 days after the board began, "so escalations get a real address" (Lamplight@4d0014e2a, 2026-06-15).
