301 Exercises: The Step Up
Setup
- Claude Code installed and working, with the guidance file you wrote in 102.
- Git and a shell. The examples use zsh, the shell the course's evidence comes from.
- A scratch directory outside any real project, since every exercise runs in throwaway repositories:
mkdir -p ~/scratch/301 && cd ~/scratch/301.
- A scratch clone of a project you know, for Exercises 2 and 3:
git clone -q <path or URL of your project> clone.
- Intent 3.2.3 or later, for Exercise 2.
- A piece of real work you might give to more than one agent, and the six evaluation framework scores you kept from 104.
- No messages. Exercise 2 registers a roster on a board and sends nothing; 302's exercises pass messages between nodes.
