207: Work Without a Test Suite
Overview
Most of the second year checks work that runs: acceptance criteria a gate computes, instruments built so they can fail, test suites and the model output inside them, and causes found by measurement. Much of what an agent produces does not run. It drafts documentation and reader-facing prose, and it rewrites its own working records each time it folds them for the next session. In every failure in this chapter the project's instruments stayed quiet, because none of them read the thing that was wrong.
