Day 5 Exercises: The Hypervisor

Setup

  • Claude Code with a full agentic setup (CLAUDE.md, skills, steel-thread experience from Days 2-4)
  • A scratch git repository you can create files in (the whiteboard lives in a directory)
  • The whiteboard protocol reference (process/whiteboard-protocol.md)
  • Optionally two terminals or two Claude Code windows to run the two nodes live; otherwise simulate both by hand

Exercise 1: Scaffold a Two-Node Whiteboard (15 minutes)

Objective: Build the minimal coordination surface and see the single-writer rule in the file layout.
