Day 2: The Conversation

Overview

Day 2 teaches the first concrete skill: how to communicate with a coding agent. The shift from prompt engineering to context engineering changes what you optimise. Prompt engineering optimises individual queries. Context engineering builds the persistent environment that makes every query better.

This day has 5 ACIs -- the most communication-dense day of the course. The first three (delegation, context engineering, prompt quality) are the core skills. The last two (correction erosion, cross-project contamination) are failure modes that attendees will encounter in practice. The skill-then-warning structure means attendees learn the right approach before learning what goes wrong.
